CINCINNATI - Xavier women's tennis player Kara Courtney was named Atlantic 10 Women's Tennis Player of the Week on Monday, March 10, as announced by the conference office. This is the first weekly honor this season for the junior from Newburgh, Ind.

Courtney added a singles victory in the first flight against St. Bonaventure (6-4, 6-3) on Mar. 8. She has won four of her last six singles matches, improving to 10-9 on the season. Courtney teamed up with Kaitlyn Zinn in No. 1 doubles versus SBU, but the match was not finished with Courtney and Zinn leading, 7-3.
