HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. - The Xavier women's team defeated the Northern Kentucky Norse, 6-1, Wednesday afternoon on the NKU campus. XU started the match off by sweeping all three doubles matches to earn the first point and went on to win five out of six singles matches. With the win, Xavier improves to 12-7 overall for the season while Northern Kentucky falls to 10-3 for the year.

Sophomores Jill Ducro and Aylin Seyalioglu teamed up at No. 3 doubles for an impressive 8-1 win over NKU's Patricia Brink and Maggie Koetter.

Ducro and junior Jeanette Feider went on to win their singles matches at Nos. 4 and 6 by the score of 6-2, 6-1 for two more of Xavier's points.

XU returns to action Friday, April 11, as it travels across town to take on intracity rival Cincinnati at 4:00 p.m.
