CINCINNATI - The Xavier women's tennis tennis defeated Atlantic 10 foe St. Bonaventure, 4-0, Sunday afternoon at the Western Tennis and Fitness Club. Once Xavier collected four points, enough to secure the win, the match was halted. The Musketeers improve to 9-5 overall and 2-0 in A-10 play while St. Bonaventure falls to 3-7 for the year and 0-2 in conference action.

"It was good to get another A-10 victory," said head coach Eric Toth. "This win will help keep us going in the right direction for the highest possible seed in the upcoming conference tournament."

Xavier notched the first point of the contest after taking two doubles matches. The third doubles match did not finish but junior Kara Courtney and sophomore Kaitlyn Zinn were leading SBU's Anna Perevenzetseva and Yolande Callaghan, 7-3.

The Musketeers scored the next three points of the match by winning the top three singles matches. Courtney got past Perevenzetseva, 6-4, 6-3, at No. 1 and freshman Tifanie Treece downed Callaghan, 6-2, 6-3, at the two spot. At No. 3 singles, sophomore Aylin Seyalioglu defeated Ana Delgado, 6-0, 6-1.

Up next for Xavier is a trip to Wilmington, N.C. for a non-conference matchup with UNC-Wilmington on March 20. First serve is set for 11 a.m.
