CINCINNATI - The Xavier women's golf team has announced the addition of signee Michelle Winkler from East Granby, Connecticut (Loomis Chaffee) for the 2008-09 season.

Winkler was rated as the second-best Connecticut women's junior golfer for 2007.  She was the runner-up in Connecticut's Girls Junior Championship this past summer and a captain on Connecticut's Tri-State Team in 2006.

Winkler brings a winning attitude to Xavier's tradition of outstanding student-athletes.

The Musketeers return to the links this spring on March 7, opening the new year at the Ross Resorts Collegitate Invitational.
