Final Results

SOUTHERN PINES, N.C. - The Xavier Women's golf team battled through a difficult outing at the Ross Resorts Invitational to close out their fall season at the 6,114 yard, par-72 Mid Pines Golf Club.  The team finished in 15th overall, three shots behind Richmond, at 985 (+121).

Rollins College, the host school for the tournament, fired two of the three best team rounds of the tournament to finish in first place at 916 (+52).  Joanna Coe claimed medalist honors after shooting an eight-over par (224) performance for the two-day event.

After a seven-over par final round, sophomore Mary Beth McKenna earned a tie for 21st place at 237 (+21).  Senior Diana Torry was the second-best Xavier finisher, firing a five-over par 77 to close out her tournament in a tie for 37th (+26).  Torry saves her best for last, totaling five shots over par for her last two tournament final rounds.

Freshman Audrey Fellmeth, Rachel Levi, and junior Lindsay Cornell struggled in their final rounds.  Fellmeth tied for 60th place overall at 34-over par.  Levi finished in 77th, ten shots back from Fellmeth at 44-over.  Cornell earned a tie for 80th, four strokes behind Levi at 48-over par.

This concludes the 2007 Xavier women's golf fall season.  The Musketeers will return in a new year at the Rio Verde Collegiate Invitational on March 7th.
