Men's Tennis Downs Saint Louis, 6-1
February 29, 2008
CINCINNATI - The Xavier men's tennis team swept all six singles matches in its 6-1 win over Atlantic 10 conference rival Saint Louis on Friday. The Musketeers are now 5-6 overall and 1-1 in A-10 action while the Billikens fall to 4-4 on the year and 0-1 in conference play. "We played our best singles as a team by far than what we've been playing all season," said head coach Eric Toth. "This was a good win against a top-tier A-10 opponent in Saint Louis." Junior Ra'ees Ismail and sophomore Anthony Palmenter teamed up for an 8-5 win at No. 3 doubles over SLU's Marcus Fadul and Adam Reeb. Up next for the Musketeers is another home match on Saturday, Mar. 1, against Youngstown State. First serve is set for 7 p.m. at Eastern Hills Tennis Club. Results
