Dieng Earns All-Region Honors From NSCAA

Dec. 13, 2007

CINCINNATI- Xavier University men's soccer standout El-Hadji Dieng has been named to the All-Mid Atlantic Third Team as announced by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA).

Dieng is one of only two freshmen to be named to the prestigious team that last year featured former Xavier standout Toni Skudrzik.  Dieng also earned a spot on the Atlantic Ten All-Rookie Team, along with fellow Musketeer Brandon Bucher.  Dieng was second on the squad with four goals and three assists for 11 points during the 2007 campaign.

The Indianapolis native joined the Musketeers squad after a stellar high school career that saw many esteemed accolades, including a spot on the NSCAA High School All-American Team during his senior season.

The Musketeers finished the 2007 season with an overall record of 8-10-1 including a 4-4-1 mark in Atlantic 10 play.
