LOVELAND, Ohio - Junior Mike Beausejour fired rounds of 70 and 69 to lead Xavier into ninth place at the Xavier Invitational played at Oasis Golf and Conference Center in Loveland, Ohio. Beausejour finished the day in ninth place, five shots off the pace set by Eastern Kentucky's Phillip Hendrickson.
Marquette set the pace with a 15-under par 561, which included a tournament record 266 in round two. Dustin Schwab led the way for Marquette in round two with a seven-under par 65. Ted Gray sits in a team-best fifth place after shooting rounds of 71 and 66.
Andy Connell recovered from a first-round 75 by shooting a team-low 68 in round two. Connell is currently in 27th place.
The third and final round will be held Tuesday on the par 72 Oasis Golf Course. Teams will partake in an 8:30 a.m. shotgun.
