2007-08...played eight minutes in the win over Georgia and made arguably the biggest shot of his young career when he nailed a three-pointer that put XU ahead for good at 52-49 with 7:21 left...XU, which had trailed by 11 points with 16 minutes left, led the rest of the way after Jackson's trey...the shot was nominated for a Pontiac "Game Changing Performance"...also hit a big three-pointer late in regulation against West Virginia...made his first collegiate start in the regular season finale against Richmond, logging a career-high 26 minutes...played in 35 games, averaging 10.4 minutes per game...logged 13.8 minutes per game over the last 13 games...has shown great improvement, especially on the defensive end...played 18 minutes against Duquesne, contributing four points and three rebounds...played well in 13 minutes at Saint Joseph's, contributing five points and two steals...had arguably his best game as a Musketeer against Dayton at Cintas Center, hitting a pair of three-pointers to go with two assists and a career-high four steals in 17 minutes of action...hit 15 of his last 33 three-point attempts (.455) after hitting just two of his first 13 attempts (.154) this season...scored a career-high tying seven points on the strength of two three-pointers against Virginia...had five points and three rebounds in 14 minutes against Belmont...had a three-pointer and two assists in 13 minutes against Oakland...scored his first seven career points to go with his first four assists and his first two rebounds in the win over Coppin State...played 11 minutes in his XU debut in the season opener.

A SCHOOL RECORD-SETTER ENJOYED A WINNING CAREER...finished his career as McClain High School's all-time record holder for most points (2,423), rebounds (1,014), assists (502) and steals (312)...his point total of 2,423 points ranks 11th on the Ohio all-time scoring list...is one of only two players in the state of Ohio to finish their career with over 2,000 points and 1,000 rebounds (Bellaire's Nate Davis is the other)...posted impressive school record career averages of 25 points and 10.5 rebounds per game...also set the school single-game records for points with 45 vs. Adena (12-30-05), rebounds with 21 vs. Upper Sandusky (1-6-07), assists with 15 vs. Madison Plains (12-10-04) and steals with eight vs. Washington Court House (1-18-05)...McClain posted a composite record of 85-12 during Jackson's four-year career, including three South Central Ohio League Championships, four Sectional Championships and two District Championships.

STELLAR SENIOR SEASON CAPPED OFF A DECORATED CAREER...averaged 26.4 points, 11.5 rebounds, 5.2 assists and 3.6 steals a game as a senior, while leading McClain to a 23-1 record...McClain finished with a perfect 20-0 regular season record and was ranked number one in the Division II Associated Press Final Poll...in fact, they were ranked number one every week of the poll...Second Team All-Ohio as a Freshman and First Team All-Ohio as a sophomore, junior and senior...Associated Press First Team All-District four years in a row, including AP District Player of the Year three times...also named District 14 Coaches Association All-District four years in a row, including the coaches pick as District Player of the Year three times...named First Team All-South Central Ohio League four straight years...as a junior he averaged 28.4 points, 8.4 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 2.7 steals, while leading his team to a 21-2 record...basketball coach: Rick VanMatre.

STANDOUT TRACK STAR ALSO...his tremendous athletic ability also showed in track in field as he won the 2006 Division II State Championship in the 110 meter hurdles, becoming the first state champion in school history...repeated his championship effort in 2007.
