Results

CINCINNATI - The Xavier University men's and women's cross country teams kicked off their season today at the Flyer 5K Challenge in Kettering, Ohio. The men's team finished fourth with a score of 91, while the women took third recording 54 points.

Senior Ben Milroy led the men's side with an 11th place finish in a time of 15:42. Following Milroy was junior Luke Beuerlein turning in a 17th place finish in 15:55. Junior Clinton Womack was the third Musketeer to cross the finishing line in 16:01. Freshmen Tyler Fry and Tommy Kauffman rounded out the men's team in times of 16:12.00 and 16:16.00, respectively.

Three Xavier women saw top-10 finishes in the 5K race. Junior Becky Clark and freshman Christina Schneider finished in the top-5 with times of 18:36 and 18:44, respectively. Senior Amanda Brown recorded an 8th place finish at 18:57. Rounding out the women's side was sophomore Bethany Moore and freshmen Caitlin Thomas turning in times of 19:31 and 19:33.

The Musketeers will return to action next Saturday, September 8th as they co-host the Queen City Invitational at Voice of America Park in West Chester, Ohio. Meet time is set at 10:00 a.m.
